Dining Out in Vassiliki, Greece

Greek cuisine brings to mind juicy tomatoes, crisp cucumbers, fragrant olives, fresh seafood, succulent lamb, and more! There’s no shortage of family-owned restaurants featuring fresh, local produce, seafood, and meats in Vassiliki and the surrounding villages. The food in Vassiliki is fresh, healthy, and delicious! The restaurants highlighted below are a few of our personal favorites.
Starfish has a prime location along the Vassiliki harbor, and has lovely outdoor seating. Specialty dishes include lamb chops, moussaka, Greek souvlaki, and local fresh fish. Delicious! You will find great personal service, delicious food, and beautiful views at this family-owned and operated restaurant. Starfish is more than willing to accommodate large groups and special events.
Alexander Seafood Restaurant
Alexander’s specializes in local seafood, and has an impressive display case with the catch of the day featured. There is an excellent assortment of appetizers and main dishes, and of course, delicious Greek salad. Alexander’s is a family run business that places a great emphasis on first class service even during busy periods, and they are very open to large group bookings.
Ocean’s Seafood Restaurant
Seafood, seafood, and more seafood! Ocean’s is known for its local, fresh seafood. There are daily specials based on the daily catch. Ocean’s provides a classic, Greek family-owned atmosphere.
Vass Cafe is a great place for a meal any time of the day. Don’t worry if you don’t make it there in the morning though, you can get omelettes and savory and sweet crepes here all day long! They have a two-story indoor space, as well as, comfortable outdoor seating along the harbor. Vass Café is also one of the more popular bars in the evening. They have large screen TVs, and typically have the evening’s football games on.
For a taste of authentic, Greek gyros, head to Yannis. This is a small venue with outdoor seating. The service is fast and the food is delicious!
The Wave is located on the other end of the beach from Vassiliki in the small village of Ponti. It is definitely worth a stroll down the pathway to this end of the beach! A few favorites here are the traditional Greek moussaka and stifado. They also have ice cream, and are a great destination for an afternoon walk!
And if you are craving something other than Greek cuisine, Alex’s Pizza offers an assortment of Italian dishes and delicious wood-fired pizza. They have some very unique pizza toppings (such as mussels) along with more traditional toppings, and are more than willing to accommodate those who want customized pizzas.
In addition to these favorites in the village, there are also restaurants at many of the watersports centers along the beach. The restaurants at Club Vass and Wildwind are great, convenient spots with water views to grab breakfast, lunch, and/or dinner!
There is definitely no shortage of fresh, healthy, delicious food in Vassiliki, Greece!
