WHO WE ARE

Your Hosts: Ashley and Alistair (Ally)

Ally and Ashley share a passion for travel and outdoor adventure sports (skiing, windsurfing, mountain biking, etc.). They like to combine outdoor activities and learning about other cultures with their travel and work schedule. Ally is from Scotland, and Ashley is from the US. Both have done quite of bit of global travel including destinations in North and Central America, Europe, Asia, New Zealand, and both look forward to continuing to explore!

Ally and Ashley both have training and experience instructing and guiding in the outdoor recreation field. Ally is a certified RYA Start Windsurfing instructor and a certified MIAS mountain bike guide. Ashley has worked as a ski school instructor, lifeguard and swim instructor, mountain bike guide, and sea kayaking guide.

Ashley has a master’s degree in educational leadership/administration, and worked in the education field as a secondary teacher and school administrator for over 15 years. She has experience and training in facilitating workshops and group work sessions, and coordinating travel and outdoor recreation for groups of 5 – 50 travelers. Ashley has been making the transition to doing consultation work online and to being location independent this past year. Her interests are in project management, event planning, travel planning, digital marketing, and writing/editing.

Ally was the “Guinness Guy” for 17 years working as a Guinness technician in the Scottish Highlands. He is our connections man! Ally is fun and outgoing, and is a master at negotiating deals, and coordinating excursions!

They have spent a lot of time travelling, and have a lot of connections in various parts of the world, and wish to share these locations and activities with like-minded individuals. All destinations are in locations that they have spent a substantial amount of time either living or traveling. Therefore, they have checked out accommodations and activities first-hand.
