HIKING AND WALKING
There are lakes, mountains, creeks, and coastal shoreline in the Puget Sound region. There may also be an optional excursion for a more challenging, alpine hike in the Cascade or Olympic Mountains.
MOUNTAIN BIKING
The Pacific Northwest is a wonderful area for biking. You can choose from mellow rides, or more technical mountain bike rides.
SEA KAYAKING
Puget Sound is an ideal place to sea kayak because it is quite protected by all of the islands in the region, although, you do need to be cautious of tides and currents. There are local rentals and guides in the area. Wildlife sightings including seals, sea lions, porpoises, tidal zone organisms, and marine birds are common, and there’s even the possibility of orcas!
BOAT TRIPS
The Puget Sound is home to orcas (“killer whales”), seals, sea lions, porpoises, gray whales, minke whales, and occasionally humpback whales. Whale watching tours are available in the area. It is also a great area to fish and crab! Depending on the season, you can go fishing for salmon, lingcod, halibut, and/or crabbing for Dungeness crab. Trips will be offered as half or full-day excursions.
MISCELLANEOUS
Puget Sound has a wonderful combination of ocean and mountains! Additional activities in the region include: swimming, tennis, scuba diving, wildlife viewing, sailing, outdoor music concerts, outdoor markets, museums and art galleries, massage therapy, and more!
EXCURSIONS
In addition, there will be optional half and one-day excursions during your stay. We will coordinate excursions based on individual and group interests. Options include: sea kayaking, whale watching tour, charter fishing and/or crabbing trip, alpine hike in the Cascades or Olympic Mountains, and mountain biking. If you have something in particular that you would like to do, please let us know and we can help to coordinate it.

COWORKING
Our belief is that our guests bring different skills and experiences to the co-retreat, and can serve as valuable resources for one another. Before arriving, we will gather information from all of our guests as to what skills they would feel comfortable sharing/teaching others, and what their individual needs are. At the beginning of each week-long session, you will have an opportunity to share about your business endeavors. We will use all of this information to coordinate and/or facilitate small and whole group sessions to fit your needs. The format for small group sessions will be flexible. For example, small groups may decide to meet at off-site locations, go for walks together to brainstorm ideas, etc. You will have the freedom to choose when to work on your own, when to collaborate with your peers, and when to enjoy outdoor and social activities. We hope that the connections you make at Co-Retreats will continue beyond your stay!

The Puget Sound is known for its dramatic landscapes and exciting wildlife. Join us at a beautiful home on the Sound for wildlife viewing and outdoor adventures. The area is a mecca for outdoor enthusiasts. Activities include sea kayaking, whale watching tours, mountain biking, hiking in the coastal and Cascade mountain ranges, swimming, fishing and crabbing, and more. A few of the optional excursions will include a charter fishing trip, a half-day sea kayaking trip, and a brewery tour. The Pacific Northwest is also known for its appreciation of microbreweries, and there will be ample opportunities to visit many of them!
